To create a contemporary response to the iconic 1960s film Cathy Come Home, we developed an original drama with its producer Tony Garnett, Channel 4 Drama, Duck Soup films (This is England) and Fremantle’s new podcast platform, Storyglass. The screenplay was written by Bafta nominee, Regina Moriarty with Chris O’Dowd and Anne-Marie Duff in the lead roles.
The podcast reached No.1 in the iTunes Performing Arts charts, beating both The Archers and Homecoming, and No. 9 in the chart of all podcasts in any genre, with 68,000 listens in 150 countries in the run up to Christmas.
